"Ich kam zur Fotografie durch meine ausgedehnten Wanderungen in den Bergen der Sierra Nevada in Kalifornien. Es war zunächst ein Hobby, um zu zeigen wo ich überall gewesen bin. Die positive Resonanz auf meine Bilder jedoch führte dazu, dass ich mehr und mehr über meine Fotos nachdachte. Schliesslich macht ich die Fotografie zu meinem Beruf, ohne jedoch mein Hobby aufzugeben. 43 Jahre danach liebe ich es immer noch, Bilder zu machen. Mit der Zeit haben sich meine Interessen erweitert, von den Landschafen hin zu Abstraktionen, architektonischen Studien, zu allem, was mir ins Auge springt. Bei meiner Fotografie habe ich mir niemals Grenzen gesetzt. Das ist sicherlich nicht für jeden akzeptabel, aber für mich funktioniert es. "
Bruce Barnbaum gilt als einer der besten Fine-Art-Fotografen unserer Zeit, sein Gespür für Komposition und Licht-gestaltung ist einmalig.
